5th Annual Estria Invitational Graffiti Battle part 1

Photos from the 5th Estria Invitational Graffiti Battle at the Honolulu Academy of Arts this past Saturday September 3rd.  The talented local artists had five hours to create their pieces and some how incorporate the word "hanau," which means, birth in Hawaiian.  They were competing for the change to compete in a similar graffiti battle in Oakland California and represent Hawaii.  They also had hip hop dancers, spoken word as well as art workshops.
